I spotted a Blue Jay sitting on a branch of the Hazel Tree
So I took a photo through the window in case I scared it away.

I spotted a Little Egret down by the river today.
The little egret is a small white heron with attractive white plumes on crest, back and chest, black legs and bill and yellow feet.
Here he is looking for fish. Just look at those big yellow...

I saw this beautiful swan whilst walking by the lake.

In a previous post called Birds on the Muddy River I published a photo of an Oystercatcher that was taken from quite a distance.
You can see him much better in these photos as he takes a walk by the river looking for food.
Note his long orange beak, great for catching...

It was just as we thought yesterday, there was a robin’s nest nearby!

New neighbours moved in this week and one furry member of the family is Spot, a very friendly and playful Staffordshire Bull Terrier Puppy.
